Lara Everly is a director, writer and actress celebrating women in comedy. Her films have played the film festival circuit, winning awards and procured distribution. Free to Laugh, a short doc about the power of comedy after prison first aired on Oprah.com, then premiered at the Santa Barbara film festival launching it’s successful festival run including a year long participation in the Lunafest program. The film is distributed by New Wave Entertainment who will also distribute the feature length version of the film now in development.

Everly loves directing comedy and partnering with companies like Refinery29, FunnyorDie, Comediva, Hello Giggles and College Humor. She's directed three web series - for ForD, PopularTV.com and Blue Fever. Lara is in post on a comedic pilot presentation, Patriettes, about a mock government summer camp for teenage girls. 

She also directs commercials and branded content. She most recently shot a commercial for Diono and Little Tikes for broadcast TV.
