Lara Everly is an award-winning DGA director who celebrates storytelling that brings humor to the unexpected, embraces the female gaze and fights for change.

Some past favorites include directing an episode of NBC’s American Auto  (nominated for a DGA award), a pilot starring Geena Davis entitled I Can By Friday, a Netflix Family series called Like A Mother, and a dark comedy film called Heritage Day starring Rachel Bloom. She's in production on a film supported by the Tribeca Chanel Through Her Lens program and Planned Parenthood, in pre-production on a film produced by Tribeca Vital Stories about the chaotic collision of breast cancer and divorce and also in development to direct two feature film comedies.

Lara has written and directed for a range of platforms including Disney, Netflix, Refinery29, Scary Mommy, Oprah, Funny or Die, Million Stories, Awestruck, Babycenter, Working Nation and more. In the branded sphere, her directing has been commissioned for broadcast commercials including Thinx, Fisher Price, Walmart, Little Tikes, ACLU, Mayday Health, Swehl, Nevada Democrats, Mothers Against Greg Abbott. Bloomlife, Schwarzkopf, Geico, Swing Left, Way to Win, Super Majority and Work & Mother and taken home Clios, Webbys, Anthems and Tellys.

When she is not wrangling a cast and crew, Lara’s wrangling her children and rescue pets, and is well on her way to having more than is socially acceptable.
